Dr. Sheila Naik
Upon graduating with numerous awards and honors from the University of Oklahoma dental school, Dr. Naik was selected to participate in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program.
After years of dealing with the Oklahoma winters, Dr. Naik was enticed by the southwestern charm and weather of Phoenix. After practicing as an associate dentist in another office for eight years, she started her own private practice which emulates her caring personality and gentle clinical approach.
Dr. Sheila Naik

Dr. Tulsi Lala
Dr. Lala, originally from South Africa, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut in 2007 and thereafter, completed a yearlong General Practice Residency at New York Hospital in Queens. Dr. Lala is committed to providing gentle, compassionate, and comprehensive quality care, which is centered on listening closely to her patients’ concerns and desires. She also prioritizes giving back to underserved communities and has participated in several international dental missions.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Lala enjoys dining out, traveling with her husband, and reading books.
Tanya, Dental Hygienist
Tanya has been working at Desert Sky Dentistry almost as long as Dr. Naik☺. Shortly after graduating from the Rio Salado College Dental Hygiene program in 2004, Tanya joined the Desert Sky Dentistry team. Tanya’s initial foray into the dental “world” was in 2000 as a dental assistant in an oral surgery office. However, Tanya’s dedication to healthcare dates back much further, having been an internal medicine doctor prior to moving to the United States. This unique background enables her to provide an individualized treatment approach, which also emphasizes oral healthcare education and adoption of the most recent dental technology.
Outside the office, Tanya likes to garden, cook, watch movies, yoga, and travel with her husband, Andy.

Angie, Dental Hygienist
Makayla, Office Manager
Makayla, our office manager, has worked in the dental field for over 6 yrs. As a member of the AADOM (American Association of Dental Office Managers), she has completed numerous CE courses pertaining to insurance billing, benefits’ optimization, Invisalign as well as other dental operations. Makayla really enjoys getting to know each patient on a personal level and will be your staunchest advocate when dealing with your insurance company. Although tenacious and diligent when dealing with insurance companies, the team and patients truly appreciate her witty sense of humor.
Outside the office, she loves to play with her two obnoxious pugs, named Mocha and Macchiato, their names also reflecing her love for coffee. She also enjoys watching foreign films, playing the piano, running themed 5K’s, and trying new restaurants.
Makayla, Office Manager

Gabby, Back Office Clinical Assistant/EFDA Certified
Gabby was born in Arizona but raised in Sonora Mexico until the age of 13. She has been in the dental field for over 12 years, working primarily in the back office. She is currently enrolled in the EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) program at Midwestern University. She can complete certain dental procedures on her own as well as provide a higher level of “assisting” proficiency to all the dentists. Gabby is also our in-house whitening specialist and looks forward to transforming your smile.
She’s married and has 3 children: Lui 13, Delylah 9, and Sarah 6. In her spare time, she enjoys going to Church, spending time with her family, and visiting her relatives in Mexico.
Reagan, Dental Assistant
Our amazing and bubbly dental assistant, Reagan, was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona. She’s been in the dental field for over 3 years, and her favorite thing about dentistry is being able to help people improve their smile! She recently got married to her highschool sweetheart and they both enjoy spending time with friends, taking their dogs to the dog park, and appreciating some “family time.” – (Her dogs are her babies!)
Reagan, Dental Assistant
